name: DIDI native to: ISLAND OF MAURITIUS
species: DODO status: EXTINCT

EXTINCT FOR OVER 300 YEARS. NO WONDER SHE’S BLUE.

When extinction came for her species, Didi the dodo was running late. She didn’t get the memo, missed the whole event and consequently lived to tell the tale. Ever since, Didi has been on a mission to do just that. As the “Mother Hen” of the X•tink•shun brood, Didi has taken other endangered animals under her wing, telling her story to help assure that it won’t happen again. Learn more from Didi by visiting her at a Bank of America Eco-Stage at the Zoo.
